A Mid-Summer Hello from Compton & Company

We hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July and that your summer has included a little time to rest, enjoy family, and slow down for a minute.

We were able to spend some time in Williamsburg recently with our friends, and I wanted to share a few pictures from our trip. It was a record-breaking heatwave, but it was also a sweet time to be together, see some history, play some Phase 10, and enjoy a change of pace.

Sometimes summer feels like it flies by before we even realize it. Between work, kids, travel, games, church, and all the normal day-to-day responsibilities, it can be hard for me to stop and enjoy the season. So this is just a simple reminder, for me too, to take the picture, enjoy the ice cream (for supper, see picture below), walk through the historic town, take the detour, and be thankful for the little moments.

We are grateful for our clients and the opportunity to serve small businesses and families in our community. We hope the rest of your summer is full of good memories, safe travels, and maybe a few slower days before school schedules and fall routines begin again.

Happy summer from all of us at Compton & Company!

Playing our favorite game – Phase 10. It gets quite competitive.
We did a day trip to Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello.
We had a little ice cream for supper. That’s what vacations are for!
We drove through Mt. Airy, NC on our way home to do all things Andy Griffith.
